Why We Started Doing This Work

This part of New York has a unique wildlife problem that most generic pest control companies do not understand. The IBM and Endicott-Johnson worker housing built between the 1920s and 1950s is the most bat-prone residential construction in Southern Tier New York. Thousands of homes in Binghamton, Johnson City, and Endicott were built to the same template — brick exteriors, wood-frame attics, original wood louver vents — and they are aging in the same way at the same time. That is a lot of bat habitat, and it requires someone who knows this specific housing stock to address it properly.

We started doing this work because we grew up here. We know the Square Mile in Johnson City. We know the IBM Park neighborhood in Endicott. We know Oak Hill, the Robinson Street corridor, the Susquehanna waterfront neighborhoods. When we tell a homeowner on Floral Avenue in Johnson City that we have seen this exact problem in a hundred similar houses on similar streets, it is not a sales pitch. It is just true.

Our Approach

We do not cut corners. We do not seal an attic and walk away without a return visit to confirm the colony has exited. We do not recommend restoration work that is not needed. We do not invent entry points to inflate the job scope. This business runs on referrals, and referrals come from being straight with people.

We also follow the law. New York's bat protections exist for a reason — White-nose Syndrome has devastated bat populations across the state and NYSDEC is serious about conservation. We do not exterminate bats. We never have. Exclusion is the method, and it is the right method.
